3/21/11

Jamie had a minor set back over the weekend. she developed an infection at the craniectomy site with fever. She was taken to the OR and the site was cleaned out and now she's on antibiotics. She was transferred out of Rusk to an acute care hospital. She is now doing well and Michael anticipates she will return to Rusk very soon.

    Just talked to Michael, he is very optimistic about your capacity to bounce back from this set-back. Sounds like you have an excellent treatment team, including your awesome "first responders" (Beth and Lauren)! I will see you soon, in a few days. Today we are all celebrating, from near and far, your darling daughter's 14th birthday. So Happy Birthday Samantha, may you continue to grow in the light and laughter and love and strength of your beautiful mama!

    Jamie, Michael, David, Danny and Sam You guys are always in my prayers and thoughts (I do not think I have to say that anymore!) Jamie I am sorry for your setback but that is exactly what it is a setback! You will get through this and then continue to work towards your recovery again, with the fight and determination that you have showed us all everyday! Can't wait to see your smiling face!
